Blood Glucose Level and Pancreas Histological Section of Male Rabbits after Being Fed Commercial Feed Supplemented with Cod Liver Oil

Fish oil contains eicosapentaenoic acid (E.P.A.) and docosahexaenoic (D.H.A.) which are beneficial for heart health, controlling blood glucose, reducing atherosclerosis, lowering the risk of cancer. This study aims to determine effect commercial feed supplemented with cod liver on glucose levels pancreatic histology male rabbits. Twenty rabbits were divided into four groups, namely 3% (P1), 4.5% (P2), 6% (P3), without supplementation (control). Each group consisted five rabbits, treatment was given weeks. The parameters observed in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th weeks rabbits’ pancreas. Data analyzed by Anova. results showed that 3rd there no significant difference (P>0.05). In contrast, 4th weeks, a (P<0.05) between control observational normal histology. conclusion, controlled levels, disturbance histological structure pancreas rabbits.Keywords: fatty acid, oil, pancreas, rabbit
